I am sitting in my office, at my desk, working away. The Super Bowl is playing on the three televisions in the office; I can just barely hear it, but at least I can see it. Sadly, we can’t watch any of the commercials—SBS, which broadcasts the game in Australia, flips to three jerk-offs in a studio to explain American football during breaks—but I’ll just watch them online later.
It’s time to continue our series of things that kick ass about Australia and things that suck. Let’s go positive this round, and let’s do something that’s still timely, as I took part in this great tradition just yesterday.
Things That Rule About Australia #1: Fox 8’s Super Simpsons Weekend
That’s right, it’s The Simpsons. I’ve mentioned this before, but every weekend, on Saturday and Sunday mornings—and even on Mondays, during three-day weekends—Fox shows a marathon of The Simpsons from 9am to noon.
There’s nothing like waking up hung over, going to get some coffee and food, and sitting down to three hours of the greatest show in the history of television. And the best thing is that if you wake up late, you can tune in to Fox +2, which shows everything on a two-hour delay.
This country loves it some Simpsons, and in my book, that’s good enough for me.

I tried to post this comment a couple of days ago, but if you want to check out the commercials, go to http://www.myspace.com/superbowlads and they're all there.
