I did get to watch the big match tonight. I just saw Jo-Wilfried Tsonga absolutely destroy Rafael Nadal in straight sets, punching his ticket to the finals. Tsonga played brilliantly, and won, 6-2 6-3 6-2, in a match just shy of two hours.
Tsonga will play either Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic, whoever wins tomorrow.
His match point was a thing of beauty, too: an ace that blew by Nadal so quickly and matter-of-factly that it was almost anticlimactic. Beautiful.
Love the Cinderella story.
